Depart early for Alexandria, approximately three hours from Cairo. Cross to the West Bank of Luxor for a full morning of exploration. Begin with the legendary Valley of the Kings, where the royal tombs of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs are carved deep into the cliffs. Continue to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and pause at the imposing Colossi of Memnon. Upon arrival, guests disembark, meet the local representative, and transfer to the temple complex for a guided visit of approximately 2 hours. Afterwards, you return to Abu Simbel Airport, complete boarding procedures, and take the 30-minute return flight to Aswan, followed by a transfer back to the cruise ship (around 30 minutes).
