Arrival & Departure Guidelines
Your First Day – Monday Arrival in Cairo
For this eight-night, nine-day Cairo and Nile cruise package, your first day in Cairo is free of excursions. Our representative meets you at Cairo International Airport and provides a private transfer to Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. Arrive in the morning, afternoon or evening and settle in at your own pace, with no scheduled sightseeing on your arrival day.
Your Last Day – Day 9, Tuesday Departure from Cairo
Your journey ends in Cairo, not in Aswan. On Day 8, Monday, you leave the ship in Aswan and fly to Cairo, and you spend your final night at Le Méridien Cairo Airport on a bed and breakfast basis. You fly home on Day 9, Tuesday.
If you have booked the optional visit to Abu Simbel, your domestic flight from Aswan to Cairo is arranged for the late afternoon, after 4:00 p.m. That gives you the full morning excursion, which usually ends around midday, before you return to the ship for checkout and luggage collection. If you are not visiting Abu Simbel, the domestic flight can be scheduled in the morning, at midday or in the afternoon to suit you. Cabin checkout is at 10:00 a.m. either way, and you are welcome to wait in the reception area or use the ship’s facilities until it is time to leave for Aswan Airport.
Please book your international flight home for Day 9, Tuesday, and not for Monday evening. A Monday flight would cost you a night you have already paid for.
Le Méridien Cairo Airport is joined to Terminal 3 of Cairo International Airport by a private pedestrian bridge, so on your last morning you can reach the terminal on foot. Breakfast at the hotel is included. Whatever time your flight leaves, please allow the usual time for check-in, security and passport control, and let us know in advance if you are departing from a different terminal.

Extra Nights
Many guests like a night or two either side of the tour, to shake off the flight before it begins or to leave without rushing at the end. We can arrange both, and you do not need to decide now.
- Before your tour Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence The same hotel your package already uses, so you arrive, settle in, and start the programme rested rather than straight off a long flight.
- After your tour Le Méridien Cairo Airport Hotel Only a few minutes from the terminal, for a flight home that leaves late in the evening or early the next morning.
How it works. Book your package here on this page first, in full. Then simply write to us with the nights you need and who they are for. We will confirm availability and send you a secure payment link covering the extra nights only.
One unbroken stay. We attach the extra nights to the reservation that is already inside your package, so the whole stay becomes one continuous booking. You keep the same room throughout. There is no checking out and back in, no repacking, and no second arrival at reception.
Would you rather book it yourself? That is completely fine. Because we hold contracted rates with both hotels, arranging the nights through us is usually the better value, but the choice is entirely yours. Just tell us what you have booked and we will ask the hotel to merge your reservation with ours, so your stay is still uninterrupted.
